Video/DVD/Game rental giant Tsutaya is now offering an HD video on demand service via the acTVila portal which is, funny enough, a collaboration of TV manufacturers such as Matsushita (Panasonic), Sony, Sony Communication Network, Toshiba, Sharp, and Hitachi. Another way to escape from NHK.

Japanese NHK and JAXA have released two HD (720p) videos of the Moon. The videos have been filmed with a Canon camera and are shot from a recently launched satellite.
